Are You Looking for Personal Money Management Training? I Was...
I was trying to do a better job with my personal money management. We had experienced several life and financial setbacks and I was looking for some money management advice that I could really grasp and apply to my life. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. It's either some old Chinese proverb or was in the movie the “Karate Kid”. Regardless, it was true for me, and it can be true for you too. It all began at a fund-raising dinner for private school in 2002. There were three other couples seated at our table. I sensed that we were placed there for a reason. On our right, was our son’s first-grade teacher. Our son was having a hard time adjusting to first-grade and this seemed to be a great opportunity to talk to her about him. On our left, was a couple whose daughter was suffering from the same critical illness my wife once had. Our hope was to be able of comfort and offer encouraging words for them. While the conversations with those people were beneficial and helpful. The real surprise for me was meeting Dave Briggs and his wife Debbie who were across a table. Here was a guy that had climbed the corporate ladder. In a major international corporation, Dave had achieved a high-level financial executive position. Then he walked away from all that. Why did Dave Briggs do that? Because he was concerned about the financial peril that most Americans live in. Dave wanted to help them. He wanted to help as many people as possible with their personal money management. On his own, Dave developed a weekend seminar to teach personal money management principles and skills. These invaluable seminars are designed to help people achieve financial freedom. That seminar led him out of the corporate world and into a staff position at Willow Creek Community Church. There, Dave heads up the ministry called Good Sense with the goal of teaching personal money management. Dave's bold move from the corporate to non-profit world got my attention, and I started asking for money management advice. I left that dinner with an invitation to lunch, the start of a friendship, and one of the most valuable mentoring relationships of my life.
Let me tell you little bit more about Dave Briggs…
Dave graduated from college in 1975 with a degree in Business Administration and joined General Electric in the Financial Management Program.
For the next 27 years, Dave worked as a Financial Manager in a number of GE facilities including locations in Illinois, Tennessee, Virginia and Puerto Rico.
For over twenty years, Dave has written and presented personal money management seminars and workshops. The focus of Dave's personal money management seminars is discovering what the Bible says about money and developing successful money management skills.
In 2002, Dave left GE to pursue his dream to teach and train people on a full-time basis. He teaches them to live successful, God-centered, financial lives. Dave joined the staff of Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois.
Dave currently serves as the Director of the Good Sense Stewardship Ministry at Willow Creek.

The Birth of FinancialFreedomTrail.com
From his seminar notes alone, Dave Briggs could write 3 to 4 personal money management books. As an Internet entrepreneur, I have been prodding him for years to write those personal money management books and go online. He's been reluctant to do either of those things because his current job description has him leading
personal money management seminars
and leading a team of people. Under Dave's leadership, this team has helped thousands of people with their personal money management. Dave loves the seminar format because the interactive nature of this teaching. Through the
seminars,
he can personally affect people and see the changes in their lives. Much to my pleasure and to the benefit of the thousands of people that will read it, Dave is writing that first book. He's collaborating with his adult son, a published author, J. R. Briggs. Together, they are writing a book for parents to effectively teach their children personal money management skills. I finally wore him down and Dave has agreed to put his personal money management lessons online. This web site is the first and only place to learn his personal money management skills on the Internet. Because of the power of the Internet, we hope to help thousands of people learn, understand and apply these personal money management principles to achieve financial freedom. So who am I, the guy writing this? I'm Paul Myers, the webmaster and author of the parts this site relating to earning additional income. I still have my day job, because I love it… I'm an international airline Captain, for one of largest airlines in the world. In fact, if you knew where I was while writing this, you would be very jealous. The site’s theme is a clue, but I'll spare you the details. It's been that many years since I left my second job as a fighter pilot in the Air National Guard. Since that time, I've been studying, exploring and trying various ways to run a successful home-based business. I've had business successes and failures, trials and outstanding life lessons. I'm the guy who responds to all the hype and pitches you see about business opportunities. I do that so I can learn to differentiate to few good ones from the things that are a waste of time and money. I am literally a non-stop learner. If I am doing anything that doesn’t require my listening attention, then I am listening to a recorded book or seminar. This has been my habit for well over 15 years. I also have several personal mentors who help me prosper in numerous areas of life. Dave Briggs is one of those, and this site will direct you to some of the others. Now you can learn from my years of study and experience. I‘ll show you what works and what to avoid. That can save you aggravation, lost time and money. I regularly consult with and help people get started in home-based businesses, particularly Internet ones. I show people how they can take areas of interest and passion and direct them into a successful additional stream of income. This site will teach you many of those skills. I'm known all over the Internet as "Pilot Paul".
One of my online businesses is a travel accessories site,
Pilot Paul's Travel Accessories
"Where an airline Captain helps you with your next travel adventure."
This successful affiliate based web site essentially runs on autopilot.
Interestingly, it all began with a terrorist event and then changed after another terrorist event. After 9/11, I began by selling airport friendly shoes, so people wouldn't have take off their shoes for security.
Then, after the England terrorist cell was discovered in August 2006, security policies changed and everyone has to take off their shoes for security screening. This essentially ended the airport friendly shoe market.
Because affiliate Internet businesses are extremely flexible, broadening the scope to include other travel accessories was no problem at all.
You can further explore the affiliate section of this site for free affiliate business resources.
The amazing thing about the web sites I have is that I don't know any computer coding skills.
I simply use an inexpensive program that converts my typed text into a successful web site.
If you would like to know more about that program, watch one of my other mentors on this short video...

or on the TV graphic below to learn how anyone can do this too.

My goal is to continue to establish multiple streams of residual income that run almost automatically.
I love my airline job, but I don't count on it being there forever. There are too many uncertainties in this industry and profession.
Thanks to Dave's personal money management principles and the outside sources of income, I don't worry about money and can sleep well at night.
Our desire at Financial Freedom Trail, is to give you personal money management skills to help you along the path of financial freedom. We want you to sleep well at night too.
Take all the information and resources available here. Put them into practice and marvel at the reduced stress that comes from financial freedom.
